The Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives Program is working with the community to ensure a safe future for generations to come. To reach this goal, ACWA is partnering with elected officials, state and federal regulators and the community to destroy 2,600 tons of mustard agent stored at the Pueblo Chemical Depot.
The Pueblo Chemical Depot is located in southeastern Colorado, east of the City of Pueblo. The installation encompasses approximately 23,000 acres and includes a variety of buildings, structures and undeveloped areas. The depot's mission is the safe, secure storage of the chemical weapons stockpile.
